The Rossini Opera Festival opened its 43 edition with a new production of Le Comte Ory, Rossini’s final comedy, which features trademarks of the composer’s oeuvre but also sees him move into more mature and adventurous musical directions. Starring operatic star Juan Diego Flórez and soprano Julie Fuchs and staged by Hugo de Ana, the production is directed by Diego Matheuz.
